The Suburban Series:
The 3500 C SUBURBAN Base Station MULTI BAND Antenna operates on
up to four bands (see Model) simultaneously. This is the ideal antenna for heavily loaded towers where space is at a premium, and separate antennas are not feasible. The
antenna is ground independent (no ground |

radials required) and can mount easily, with its 1
1/8" diameter mounting tube, on standard TV masts, towers or roof brackets. All SUBURBANs are center fed half wave designs with decoupling techniques employed to assure maximum radiation at the horizon where it belongs. The SO-239
or N type connector is protected from the weather. The slim fiberglass radome presents a tough but aesthetically pleasing exterior that will stand up in any harsh environment.
A multi-band Multiplexer is available that allows simultaneous
un-switched operation with 2-4 separate radio systems. |

The multi band antenna technology present in the 3500C SUBURBAN series is not limited
to just three bands. Standard designs exist for four band versions as well. The 4500C series of
four band antennas covers many combinations of frequencies. 30, 150, 450 and 880 MHz and
144, 220, 440, and 1.2 GHz versions are quite popular. |
The METROPOLITAN is a Tri-band
VHF mobile adaptation of the SUBURBAN antenna that covers 144, 220
and 440 MHz with great performance on all three bands. The antenna operates as a quarter wave radiator on each band and as
such, requires a ground plane for proper operation. No tuning is required, as the antenna simply screws onto a low profile
[Motorola/THE NMO style] mount. Only 19 inches tall, the METROPOLITAN can be
METROPOLITAN used with the Austin Triplexer for simultaneous three band operation with separate radios! |
