CB Radio Tune-Up/Alignment Services
|
|
| If you would like
your CB Radio Tuned-Up/Aligned: |
|
- Carefully read ALL Information on this page.
- Complete and print out the Service
Form. If your browser doesn't support filling
in forms simply print a blank form and fill it out by hand or
provide the indicated information any way you like. The Service Form
doesn't send any information over the internet its just there for
you to print out.
- If you are unable to pay using a credit card please ship
your unit with a deposit of $32.50 using a Money Order/Cashiers
Check or personal
check. This is the minimum bench charge plus return
shipping/handling and insurance. This will allow us to work on your
unit and upon completion contact you with a Tune-Up/Alignment
complete (and balance due if over $25.00) notice. This balance due
can be paid by any method you like within 30 days. Note: allow an
extra 14 working days for personal checks to clear before we service or
return unit. Your $32.50 will be deducted from the total amount due
if it's over $32.50. Make any checks payable to Multec
Communications. Money Orders/Cashiers Checks make things go much
faster!
- Include your microphone and power cord with the unit if possible.
This makes life easier and allows us to check and final test your
unit completely.
- Pack your unit carefully. Shipping can be disastrous to your
equipment. Make sure
there is at least 3-6 inches of foam peanuts or similar
packing material between all sides of the unit and shipping
box. Wrap any accessories separately. DO NOT use newspaper or
shredded paper as packing material. Double box unit if possible. If
your not a frequent or experienced shipper use a packaging/shipping
service. Always insure your unit and ship with a shipper who can
track your package.
- Put your Name, Address, Phone and Email directly on the unit with
a sticker or tag. This makes doubly sure it won't get lost.
- I know this all sounds like a pain, but after 20+ years I've seen
quite a few shipping damaged units. Happily 99.9 percent gets
through fine. It's that .1 percent that gets you!

| Tune-Up/Alignment Policy: |
|
- Units are worked on in the order they are received.
- Tune-Up/Alignments usually can be completed within 1-3
working days depending on service load.
- Units sent in for a Tune-Up/Alignment must be in
working order. Units received that are defective and need to be
repaired will be estimated. We receive many units for a
"Tune-Up" that actually need a repair. If you're not sure it
just needs a Tune-Up, send it in as a repair. This will save a lot of
time. Also, all repairs include a Tune-Up/ Alignment.
- Tune-Up/Alignment Flat Rates:
- AM CB - $25.00.
- SSB CB - $35.00.
- Export Radios (Connex, Superstar and similar
types) - $45.00.
- Ranger Amateur Type (out of warranty) - $45.00.
- There is a $25.00 minimum bench charge on all
defective/un-alignable units and will include a written evaluation
of what is wrong and why unit is deemed un-alignable. If the
unit has repair problems we will supply an estimate for your
approval.
- Your Tune-Up/Alignment will either be done by or
supervised by our Master Tech who is a graduate in Electrical
Engineering (magna-cum-laude), holds a First Class Radiotelephone
license with a Radar endorsement and is a Extra Class Amateur
Radio Operator with over 25 years of service experience.
