Intrinsically Safe Rating?
An intrinsically safe radio is one that has been certified
"safe" in explosive or dangerous environments. These
radios are used in mining, the oil industry, manufacturing, grain
storage etc. Any situation where there could be explosive gases or
highly flammable materials. Most people do not need
to purchase intrinsically safe
radios and it usually delays the order.
