Note: The LF-1 is specifically designed to be easily inserted in the DC
power line of Vertex Standard Mobile Radios. This DC Line Filter reduces
or eliminates most types of noise which can enter a Mobile Radio via the
DC power source (through the DC power cord). Common types of noise which
can be filtered are: alternator whine, windshield wiper motor noise, power
window noise, light bar motor noise and fuel pump noise. These filters are
not effective for reducing RF type noise such as pulse noise, ignition
noise, motor rotor contact arcing and computer or control system noise
most of which enters the radio through the antenna system. Several filters
can be connected together in series to increase effectiveness in very
noisy situations.
