Notes: This option board enables MDC-1200 or MDC-600 compatible ID
bursts at the beginning or end of each radio transmission and is fully
programmable to match any system's parameters. Some earlier model Vertex
Standard radios may require a firmware upgrade for this option board to
function. The MDC-1200 fits into the option slot under the battery caution
plate in the portable radio or plugs into the appropriate option connector
in the mobile radio. The MDC-1200 is usually programmed by the dealer
using the VX MPI programming kit and cannot be programmed via the radio's
normal programming software and cable. The radio must have the MDC-1200 ID
option turned on via the radio's programming software after it is
installed.
