ALERT
Should DC power fail at the repeater site, the VXR-9000 100
Watt will automatically revert to a backup DC power source, if available.
Under emergency DC power, the repeater will transmit an alert message, to
alert the communications supervisor that the DC power situation requires
immediate attention at the repeater site.

BACKUP POWER SUPPLY DETAILS
For uninterrupted operation during power failures, a 12-volt
rechargeable type battery (55-Ah or more recommended) may be connected
to the BACKUP terminal posts on the rear panel. In the event of an
unexpected interruption of the Main DC Power Source, the automatic power
control circuit will automatically switch the repeater to the backup
battery, and operation will not be interrupted. After prolonged
operation from the battery, (Backup Power Source), it should be
disconnected from the repeater and recharged separately before
re-connecting. Never reapply the Main Power Source to the repeater with
a discharged battery connected as backup, as the DC startup current can
damage the repeater and battery. While operating from a backup battery,
the repeater requires approximately 7 amperes at 12 Volts during
transmit.

CONSERVATIVE DESIGN FOR HIGH RELIABILITY
The large-diameter cooling fans (3+ inches) are thermostatically
controlled, ensuring a stable temperature environment for the VXR-9000 100
Watt. Fan operation may be programmed via software (Off, Continuous, or
Temperature-Controlled), and a "Malfunction" alarm is provided.

is shipped ready for mounting in a standard 19" rack
32 CHANNEL CAPACITY
The VXR-9000 100 Watt may be dealer-programmed with up to 32 channels over
a wide frequency range, and may be operated either in a "Repeater" or
"Base Station" mode, depending on your application.
SIX DUAL-FUNCTION
PROGRAMMABLE KEYS ON FRONT PANEL
Over twenty different functions are available for selection and assignment
to any of the six dual-function programmable keys on the front panel of
the VXR-9000 100 Watt. These functions include Channel Up/Down, High/Low
Power, Repeater/Base mode, Encryption On/Off, Transmit/Receive, Panel
Lights On/Off, and many more!
FUNCTION KEYS
There are six programmable function keys on the front face of the
repeater. There are over 20 functions available for programming to these
buttons. Each button can also have a secondary function for a total of 12
separate functions from a relatively simple layout. Functionality and ease
of use.
